Ask The Fire was my blog in late 2017/early 2018, where I documented my experience as a U.S. midwesterner student teaching in South Africa. It was never completely finished.

I intend, over time, to gather up all my old posts, and then to use my old notes and photos to complete my memories. These old posts appear unedited, except to remove my deadname. Please bear in mind that they're now six years old, and I'm not quite the same person that I was when I wrote them.
